The Lavazza Barista Challenge UK is back and bigger than ever. Submit your entry for the chance to represent the UK on a global stage and win incredible prizes, including a trip to the home of Lavazza in Turin, Italy.
What is the Lavazza Barista Challenge?
Now in its seventh year, the Lavazza Barista Challenge brings together talented baristas from across the world. Competitors take to the stage to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and passion for coffee through a live performance, with the UK winner earning the opportunity to compete in the Global Final held in Turin, Italy alongside baristas from more than 17 countries.
This Year's Challenge
Finalists will be challenged to:
- Craft their coffee story, bringing their interpretation of the Italian coffee ritual to life
- Create a hot or cold signature coffee recipe using Lavazza Tales of Italy
- Curate a memorable serving experience to complement their creation

Submit your entry by sending us a short video introducing yourself and showing us what you can do.
Your video should be 1–2 minutes long and include:
- Make your favourite coffee and show us how you prepare it.
- Tell us about your coffee journey so far, whether you’re just starting out or
have been behind the bar for years. - Let your personality come through. We want to get to know the person behind the coffee.
There’s no need for a complicated recipe or polished production. Keep it simple and
be yourself. We’re looking for baristas who are confident making great coffee, passionate about what they do and ready to take on the challenge.
